Abstract
The technique of use of computer model of the movement of the top planets (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn etc.) on the heavenly sphere when studying astronomy is offered. Is developed the simple computer program in the Pascal language which allows: 1) to simulate rotation of Earth and Mars round the Sun and to determine the synodical period of Mars; 2) to calculate heliocentric longitudes of Earth and Mars, and also geocentric longitude and latitude of Mars in the given moment of time; 3) to define a trajectory of the movement of Mars on the heavenly sphere in the set time interval; 4) to find duration and the angular size of an arch of the retrograde movement of Mars.
