Abstract
This article deals with the problems of aesthetic development of primary school children by teaching arts and crafts activities. The indexes of the aesthetic development of children identified and discussed category of aesthetic consciousness; sets out the principles that are worth based in teaching children arts and crafts activities. A brief outline of approaches to determine the specificity of the concept of arts and crafts, as well as address some kinds of work with the children.
