Abstract
The paper describes the possibility of socialization and self-realization of students through studying chess, specific training of future teachers of physical culture illustrated parallel with the system and opportunities, conditions and patterns of socialization and self-realization of students through studying chess. The work reflects the historical roots of chess lessons, identify potential optimal conditions for productive development of the individual student, to play chess.
