Abstract
The article deals with the classification of e-learning tools based on the hierarchical method, in which a prescribed plurality is divided into subsets and gradually specifies the object of classification, wherein a certain sign serves as the basis for dividing. Modern foreign and Ukrainian hierarchical classifications of e-learning tools are described; their positive and negative features are analyzed.
