Abstract
This article discusses the issues of organizing and conducting independent work of students (cadets) as a form of educational activity in military institutions; determined the importance of this work for qualitative education in the chosen specialty. The proposed algorithm for the management of independent work will allow teachers and students to master the system of professional military education, and also get the opportunity to further independent self-education and self-development.
