Abstract
The article discusses some aspects of the process of formation, formation and development of the institution of a British family, the specifics of upbringing and education of children at different stages of the long history of the UK. Particular attention is paid to traditional forms of education and the kind of specificity of British children, the austere and rigid requirements.
