Abstract
In the present article, the author analyzed the problems of modern training future officers of the Interior. Emphasis on the problems of self-education in the context of professional training of officers of law enforcement.
The detailed analysis of the scientific pedagogical, philosophical and psychological literature on self-education. Clarified the basic concepts of "self", "self-educational activity", "self-educational competence". In the context of the competency approach implemented an attempt to formulate a definition of "self-educational competence of future officers of internal affairs." Generalized analysis of theses, monographs and scientific publications on the topic of research allowed to identify the main components of self-competence of future officers of internal affairs: motivational, cognitive, operational, reflexive. The specifics of each component of self-competence of future officers of internal affairs: motivational, cognitive, operational, reflexive.
