Abstract
The article discusses the role of literary texts in modern linguo-didactic learning of migrants the Russian language. The author considers it appropriate to use in the classroom short stories Russian classics. Relevance of the study due to the need to develop cultural and communicative competence of students-migrants, and the literary text serves as a material for the formation of the desired competencies due to the fact that the text itself is part of Russian culture and an example of Russian speech. The article shows the stages of work with the text, examples are given of texts that can be used in the classroom, examples of tasks.
