Abstract
The article describes the game "Scrabble" as a way to formation of spelling skills, to increase motivation and to extend the personal vocabulary. The theoretical features of using games in learning foreign languages were determined. We describe the problem of increasing motivation in the process of teaching English. This work is a theoretical study of the game "Scrabble" in the context of learning a foreign language.
