Abstract
The article describes the possibilities of determination of future teachers of physical culture category of "self-development", defined features of studying of "self-development" category in professional education model. Possibilities of scientific pedagogy in solving the problems of determination of categorical apparatus allow to refine the conceptual apparatus of pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical basics of modeling and pedagogical design to identify and solve problems directly related to the professional job functions and competencies generated.
