Abstract
This article is dedicated to the optimization of the educational process in the learning of General Surgery under conditions of credit-modular system. Reforming of higher education in accordance with international demands, in particular with the principles of the Bologna Declaration, must always maintain particular aspects of the national education system. This problem is multi-faceted. The main task of the clinical departments, in particular the Department of General Surgery, is the formation of students' clinical thinking, sufficient volume of theoretical knowledge and practical skills required by modern physicians.
