Abstract
Situation of applying to competence approach in primary basic education is analyzed in the article. Prerequisites of necessity of reforming of the first stage of education of schoolmates in accordance with requests of competence approach are determined. Conceptual provisions of competent-oriented of education in primary school are represented, its content is revealed.
