Abstract
Modern educational standards set serious requirements upon intermediate vocational education teachers for preparation of oil and gas industry specialists. College must prepare qualified specialists who can think creatively, take responsibility, work in team and bring success to company. On practice college graduates rarely could perform such tasks because traditional specialist preparation is oriented for development of knowledge and skills in topical area and falls behind modern requirements.
